Turnover is pretty high in Medium. I figure this out when I first joined 32 months ago. Many people are not getting sufficient reward--either readership or $$$--for their efforts; it makes sense to move on.

Now, I'm an oldtimer here. Unpopular, but still an oldtimer. Many of the newbies I'm trying to influence (in an TDG way) won't be here six months from now.

I think it would help Medium if Medium moves some of its royalties away from the stars and towards the more "average" writers. But that's not my call.

Maybe 1-2 articles a month for the next little while. Engage with the comments. One new read and response per day. Then free time goes elsewhere.
