Are you and the rest of the world really seeing clearly?
We are in the situation we are in because we let political parties govern us! Political parties are about people who are overly ambitious for status, influence, and power. And they climb over top of each other, like hyenas on a carcass.
The party does two things for the overly ambitious: 1) it eliminates much of the competition for that status, influence, and power, because few citizens want to put themselves into 80-work weeks where almost everyone else hates their guts and 2) an election machine to hide behind a party banner so the citizens do not really know who they really are.
Umair, can you really explain how we can get kinder, wiser politicians from this system?
