Unfortunately you might be right.

In 2014, I had a fellow interested in the TDG. He tried to set up some TDG meetings in his neigborhood in Cobb County, Georgia. No interest.

From this side of the TDG fence, I see so many people complaining about the conditions on their side of the fence. I say to them, "Come take a look on this side." Alas they cannot do that.
