I don't think the people on the political left realize how close USA came to a constitutional crisis.
Just imagine if the mob did find Mike Pence and put him to the gallows. Or maybe AOC or Nancy Pelosi pulled out of their hiding place and the crowd having their way. Or maybe a fire!
Martial Law! Election 2020 invalidated until further notice! Military not sure whose orders to take!
I think all that was needed was another hour of too few police officers for something to happen to justify martial law. We need to know what was happening in the White House while the coup was in progress.
I would also like to know why the protesters were not carrying or using firearms. This had to have been orchestrated in advance for some reason.
And yes, getting to the bottom of this event is more important than Covid or Gaza or whatever.
I don't understand why CNN is not hyping this up more. Maybe they indirectly had a hand in this? Like giving too much time to Mr. Trump in the 2016 primaries?

On a little different path, my experience in politics is that a political party will put up with a certain amount of crap from a politician if that politician has the formula to be elected or re-elected. The Republican Party is taking this nature to a higher level, but the principle is the same. But this higher level is showing the system is broken.
