Watching the 2016 primaries (from north of the border), it seemed CNN was doing all it could to help Mr. Trump defeat Mr. Kasich. So much of the media attention went to Mr. Trump that it seemed no one else was running against him. BTW, I gave Mr. Trump a 50/50 chance of becoming the president a month before the primaries were over.

And watching more from north of the border, it seems the D's really don't stand for much other than they are not the other party.

While my political crystal ball has not always been correct, it is plausible that the USA could turn into a one-party state by 2025--and that one party will have difficulty in asserting its rule. There will be lots of violence.

Most of us will live through these times. But we need to start thinking of how we should restructure ourselves for after the dust settles. .
