We could put face-recognition software into the microwave. It records the face of the last person to put food in. If the food spills, it will taser them when they come to pick it up.

With the face recognitino software, the microwave could also have a built in projection screen. Food spills, and the face gets put on display for all other office workers to see and mock.

Of course, there will be large protests of freedom lovers who believe it is their right to have their food spill in the public microwave and let someone else clean up. This could tie up Congress for months.
