We could say part of the reason for our current predicament is the failure to address Wall Street.

I say that the failure of the Democrats to convict Mr. Clinton in 1998 is also another partial reason.

Many of our imbalances have deep, deep roots.

Perhaps the biggest root is our system of governance. These 19th century social inventions are not working so well in the 21st century.
