I remember a door-to-door evangelist coming to my house a few decades back. An older fellow with a young lady with big boobs, tight sweater, and just enough cleavage to get a young man looking. Couldn’t figure that one out.

Anyways, my theory is that people who are not comfortable with life choices they have made need to convert others to their value system. Those “little marks” tend to validate their bad choices.

In my alcohol days, for example, I would try to promote the party lifestyle to others not in the party lifestyle.
