Well done. Unfortunately fed-bashing is a popular form of political positioning across Canada, not just Alberta. While it provides some success at election day, it also limits to what Canadians can really accomplish for themselves.
If we ever get to a referendum on this issue, I doubt most voters would even read an essay like this one. Sad.
If your math is correct, I would say that $319 out of $50,000 is not a bad thing to stimulate the economy in a poorer part of Canada.
It has been interesting to watch the Conservatives in action these days. They seem to want to behave like Mr. Trump, yet just can't seem to jump the gap.
