Well, I do have a 55,000 -word book on this topic. This book is 54,998 words longer than "do something."

But your point is well taken about the "demonstration" project. I should be more out there. There are four hurdles to cross.

1. I would like to attend various conferences that are a little related to governance. There I could meet up with the real shakers of society and start networking. But my lower-middle class standing does not allow for this time off and travel.

2. Energy levels are not high as I move into retirement age. I struggle with work and family affairs. Attending conferences would be hard heath-wise, as well as financially.

3. My social circle has deemed me as slightly insane for continuing on with this project as long as I have. My wife tolerates my TDG time because I am still in the house--and can easily put the TDG aside when needed. I quit telling my social circle 10 years ago that I was still working on this project. I doubt any of them know about the new TDG website AND the four other books I have written.

BTW, the wife read the third TDG novel. She didn't say much.

4. If I started a local TDG in my home town, I would be the only worker. While that social circle issue crops up again, we are relatively well governed-- municipally speaking. There are no political parties in this system. And with 15,000 people in my town, most voters know something about a few people on the ballot. We get a reasonably wise council.

Thanks for reading and commenting. As a former guitar player, I found your luthier articles interesting. That indeed is an interesting craft.
