Well, no warning shots from the Medium gods yet!
The top writer in question is probably unconsciously guarding his and other top writers’ turf.
I signed on to MPP last September. I make about $15 a month from four articles, each with about 20 reads. Getting paid $15 for 80 reads is very impressive. However, the pay per effort expended is next to nothing.
If the top writers have a similar $-to-read ratio, they must be pulling in lots of cash with more articles per month and more readers per article. They realized there is only so much space for top writers — and new people are not welcome in their club.

Your advice on not providing links on my responses is well taken. Except I have been doing this for three years. Of 6200 responses, about one-third have links to my Medium articles. I got pushback from about four people on this matter. I just don’t read their articles any more.
One of the pushbacks was from the top writer in question. It took about a year after I quit reading him that the Medium algorithms stopped putting his articles on my feed. This is my main evidence that the Medium algorithms do favor certain writers, which helps build their following and MMP check, which then classifies them as top writers to get more followers and a bigger MPP check. The top writer in question is good, but he not 37 times as good of writer as you or I.
As I mentioned to the top writer, I am not here for fun. I have a mission which needs to taken to a full test.
I am compiling 133 of my Medium essays into one e-book. It is a different way to teach about the TDG. Amazon has some interesting marketing tools if I give them exclusivity. I think e-book is suitable for these tools. I shall give Amazon six months. If no traction, it will be time to put the TDG back on the shelf. That should make the top writer happy.
The new e-book comes to 160,000 words. By far my biggest work.

Thanks for comments on Prez47.
One benefit of this TDG side trip is that when I get a Prez47 idea, I can whip it into shape quite quickly. I’m still not getting paid for effort expended, but the losses are significantly less than my other works.
Part of me says that I could take this idea a long ways — and might even make a living on it. There are many other places on the internet to promote this campaign. However, I have outside considerations as to how far I can take this.
I’ve been a Baha’i for 28 years. Part of our instructions is to not to engage in partisan politics. If Prez47 gets a little too popular, all sorts of “misconstrue- ations” of the Bahai Faith are likely to crop up. I will just use Prez47 as an indirect tool to promote the TDG.
Unfortunately my last article has become my most popular. In terms of quality, I would say the last articles is in the lowest quartile of these articles. The young girl in the bikini made the difference.
