The only thing I would argue with is that 80% of Covid deaths would still be alive if Mr. Trump were not president. In Canada, we have handled the virus better than the USA. But we are still at 50% per capita death rate as the USA. This virus doesn't care about politics.

Ms. Martinchek seems to think her articles can bend the will of the Democratic Party to her way of thinking. She hasn't realized that political parties are more about winning elections than bettering society. Naive indeed.

There is lots more work to be done in the USA. Maybe it's time for a whole new way of democracy.
