Well, that’s a very frank article about one’s voting choice. If more people understood why they voted the way they “did/are going to”, I wonder where we would be.

In my teenage years, I used to an avid reader of MAD magazine. Still too MAD many cartoons are locked in my memories.

One is an Al Jaffee cartoon with an elderly lady in a store. There are two cages in the store, each with a demon locked inside. One cage/demon is big; the other cage/demon is small. The lady is pointing at the smaller cage while the store clerk looks on. The caption: “Voting is like choosing between the lesser of two evils.”

It’s been 45 years since that cartoon has been published. This article suggests that, for many citizens, not much has changed.

I think many people want a more meaningful way to vote. May I suggest Tiered Democratic Governance.
