Well, this is certainly a different kind of article. I commend the author for making these points.

I would say that this article exemplifies the failures of western democracy. In my book, I have provided 12 limitations of western democracy. One of the them is the need for politicians to spend so much time and effort on enhancing their electoral succes s and building influence within the system. All that takes time and effort away from solving the problems of society. In other words, they just can't afford to listen the way they should.

It's time for a new way.
