Well written essay. I'll just offer my two cents worth.

I was under the impression that ACA (Obamacare) was been largely diluted the Trump administration. At least the Republicans are taking credit for destroying "socialism". And the Biden administration was not able to bring it back. In these days of alternative facts, it is hard to find the true truth.

And that is a good reason why so many people do tune out. It requires a big investment to sort things out.

This essay also points out that a lot happens in government that the media either does not report or only gets some fleeting attention. Again, the public cannot follow everything and size everything up--only to cast an X to a D or an R at the elction.

To me, this essay is indirectly promoting my TDG. Rather than hoping for a hyper-vigilent public to suddenly appear, the TDG will find the more capable of people who will hash alternatives, pros, cons, whatever else is necessary to create public policy.
