Well written. So many things to fix.
I would like to offer a lot of comments to this lengthy piece, but I will limit myself to this one.
The Senate/Electors arrangement was made for historical reasons--to bring the willingly smaller into the confederation. At the time, it was thought Great Britain could have re-conquered the states one-by-one if they did not unite.
The reasons for the senate/elector compromise are long gone. Yet the country cannot move past its 18th century social enigineering invention is a sign of how stuck it really is in one place.
Time for a new way.
