Well, you got me to read a bit about Hegel. Our library has a philosopher’s section, and Hegel has a book in that collection. But I would need a few days . . . .

So I went to the Wikipedia article, and it was over my head. One day . . . . . (but probably not).

In order for the TDG to work, we really need to sideline that human instinct for accumulation of status, influence, and power. In other words, don’t vote for the people who desire and compete for these things. The electoral structures of the TDG lead to a calling capable people into service of government. But for we need to learn how to recognize the better people. The Founding Fathers did not provide the tools.
