Two weeks since you posted this article--and only 126 claps. Kind of shows the Medium intellect is not as high as my first impression suggested.

Over the past three years, I've put up similar articles that suggest that USA is/was not that strong of democracy. The left on the left are not impressed. Yet I've run across at least 50 articles about how casting aside the electoral college will fix things. Not only does this discussion deflect the real political issues, things won't change much if the USA prez is elected by popular vote.

And so many political commentators on Medium believe their musings can bend the will of those aspire for public office. Just keep pumping the "Advice for Joe" articles.
