When I put my "alternative democracy" out there, I occasionally run across some interesting people with out-of-the-box ideas on improving democracy.

Reading this particular article brought me to remember "Ben Paine" and his blog.

Ben and I had some great conversations about five years ago. While neither of us convinced each of anything, he does have ideas worthy of discussion. One of them is that to earn a vote, one must pass a civics test on the American political system. Somewhere in his blog, Ben does have a 100-question civics test. This Canadian scored 85% without any preparation, so I would be allowed to vote in Ben's world (if I were an American).

When watching those videos posted on this Medium article, I could not help but think these people couldn't pass Ben's simple civics test! They have absolutely no idea of how democracy works.
