When I saw Mr. Trump with the Bible in front of the church, two thoughts were going through my head: 1) He is not going to get any extra votes form that move because the people who agree with it are already voting for him, and 2) if that move cannot inspire average citizens to vote for someone else, than USA deserves its fascism.
Military generals have finally spoken up. Protest leaders are urging people to register to vote--and they have five months to put up a fight if they are denied their rights.
We should not be surprised if a version of "The Burning of the Reichstag" is going to happen in Washington. I hope those in the back rooms of the "D" power have a plan to circumvent this, but I doubt Mr. Trump is smart enough to pull a coup off.
The question that should be asked is: What does the USA do after the Joe Biden win? Democracy will still be broken. It is time for a new way.
This, of course, assumes that at least 10% of the 50% who normally do not vote come out to vote in November. That is the bigger question.
