When Mr. Trump held that Bible up in front of a church, I thought this was going to be the beginning of his political end. I was anticipating a drop in votes from 62m to 52m. Wrong!

I'm pretty sure the D's have considered your direction. They may have decided that fanning flames just might make the tantrum worse.

I'm pretty sure the D's are aware that Mr. Trump has at least 100,000 followers who are willing to die for his cause. That is weighing on their deliberations.

This is sort of like a football game when it is the last two minutes. We are down 4 points and have the ball on our 20-yard line. Do we throw long, knowing the defense is prepared for a long pass? Do we throw short? Or do we run, hoping the defense is not prepared for a run? There really is no one right answer.

There really is no one right answer for the D's political strategy either. It's just too close of a game. to know what the right call should be.
