While I consider myself as an inventor with a book to explain my ideas rather than a real writer, I took a look at two paths:

1. Going with vanity press. For about $4,000, I could get the book “professionally” edited, set up in an e-book format, get the print-on-demand, and get a few links to help promote the book.
2. For about the same money, I could build a website with the book available for a free online read, and plus a couple of e-book formats, and do some Google ad marketing. BTW, I hired out the website building, editing, and e-book conversion.

As far as marketing goes, I have more or less experimented on various internet forums, and there is little interest in my idea. So my time on Medium is coming to close. But I have a new angle to try out. This is my fifth incantation.

It could go either way. I will know fairly quickly whether the new angle gets people interested. There is not much sense putting hours and hours and hours on online marketing.

I just might put the project back on the shelf (again). Or maybe the new angle will get people interested! I must try the new way out.
