There have been a few Medium articles about the plight of truckers. Generally speaking, truckers don't get paid if the truck is delayed for any reason. While this is good for consumers, it creates a weak link in the supply chain that is breakable.

Part of a current politician's job is to take complicated things and simplify them for the public. In a like manner, this protest is taking complicated things and turning it into something simple. Even many of the protesters do not understand why they are doing what they are doing.
