Will this third party split votes in the wrong way?

Intuitively, it should siphon votes away from the Trump party. But it might siphon votes from the conservatives who are likely to vote Democrat in a two-party system.

I don't think no one can predict the future on this one. That's probably the reason for the hesitancy. You probably won't hear them think this way.
