Yep! The internal workings of any political party can be described as "dysfunctional." When the party displays some unity on the outside, it is very messy on the inside.

Maybe this internal party dysfunction--as ambitious party members compete for status, influence, or power--is actually a check-and-balance to prevent a full takeover!

But we still need a new way.
