You are making some good points here.
In this article, I am violating my own axiom on not stereotyping all people in a certain demographic group with the same brush. There are good and bad in all groups.
However, there is still a societal pattern with Russians. Are you in agreement with my assessment?
There are many commentators supporting the war. I did not include most of them as they did not offer any new insights for me.
I have read Scott C Dunn many times, trying to get an understanding of the opposition. This writer makes little sense to me (on this topic). Ukrainians want out of the Russian yoke, and he seems to be OK with Ukraine to be in servitude to Russia.
Scott is a terrible debater. He does not engage when others are making a good point.

We westerners have our own superior attitudes. But we are breaking down the bad ones. Canadians are coming to a better understanding of our relationship to the First Nations. While we are not in the same place, we are learning. Part of this learning comes from an unfettered and somewhat responsible media. Russians don't have this; hence they are unlikely to move forward.
An example we westerners are not addressing is the International Monetary Fund. This rogue bureaucracy is a side benefit for the American economy. It has a hand in this war that is not being acknowledged.
I have a solution for the IMF, but no one is listening.

We are all indeed sinners. But we also address the worst the sinners. People who make their living by robbing convenient stores eventually get put in prison. We don't shake our head and say: "They need to make a living and they are pretty good at this occupation. Besides, I drive a little over the speed limit, so I should not say too much."
Had Russia not invaded (and the Ukrainians did not stand up), the west would have left Russia alone with its bad value system.

I'll just bring up my Russian point again:
The Russian people have a strong psychological need to dominate other ethnic groups. When Russians are on top of the pecking order, they are in their happy place. They will overlook the silly decisions, oppressive governance, and corruption of their political leaders as long as this Russian dominance prevails.
So is this statement true about Russian values?
If not, what is your description of the Russian people?
If my statement is reasonably accurate, do we just leave the Russians be, letting them oppress other people?
How would you break the Russian psyche?
