You got a car! I just make might get my subscription paid for. But no free oil change.

Anyways, I see Medium as a business that is still struggling to find its business matrix: that magical point where a business find the right number of customers and suppliers and employees to earn a profit. If it had the matrix, it would not be experimenting so much. However, some of its experiments are rather silly (from my limited perspective).

If we take out the top Medium writers, what is a common complaint among most Medium writers is the unfairness of the Medium structure. We really don't understand why some writers get preferential billing. Yes, they are good. But there are many other writers who are just as good but getting numbers close to zero. Who decides who wins the Medium lottery?

You have seen this article of how Medium should restructure itself for transparent fairness: i.e. let writers decide which writers should move up. Maybe some of your readers need to take a look.
