You have probably already read "Lies My Teacher Told Me." It seems strange that Americans can chastise other nations for their false narratives in history, and yet cannot fix the lies told in high schools about American history.

But try to get this bad history out of the high school curriculum is a political nightmare. Another sign that our current democracy is not functioning well.
