You might be interested in one of the few democratic innovators I have encountered in the past 15 years. Take a look at my article “Dynamic Recovery Proxy”. That is an interesting way to implement a version of direct democracy.
I believe democracy needs a combination of experienced people with new people to give new ideas. I like the turnover rate in Canada resulting in elections, not too big, not too small. I think we have only one 25-year veteran in Parliament right now. It seems too many politicians hang around far too long in the USA.
It is strange that we can’t move past our outdated systems.
