Your opening paragraph was great. I wonder how you can function in this kind of job and still have energy for writing. Well, actually writing can be energyzing, but spending several hours writing articles like this drains enery for other things. You must be a natural high-energy person.
Workplace organizing would be useful. So too would be geographical communities. We need smaller electioral units so that neighborhoods can elect one of the better neighbers to represent them politically. That is better than electing a party hack who will hardly ever step into your neighborhood or understand the challenge real people face.
PS. I had chronic fatigue syndrome for about 12 years. I know how hard it can be hold onto a simple job.
